My Review - Simple Perfection - by Abbi Glines

Synopsis:
Woods had his perfect life mapped out for him. Rise up the ranks of the family business. Marry the rich girl of his parents’ dreams. Pretend that wealth and privilege was all he’d ever wanted. Then a girl named Della breezed into town, a beautifully imperfect stranger who captured his heart and opened his eyes to a new kind of future. Woods is ready and willing to sacrifice everything for her when the sudden death of his father leaves him with his mother to care for and a business to manage.

Della is determined to be strong for Woods, even as she’s quietly falling to pieces. No matter how far from home she’s run, the ghosts of her past have never stopped haunting her. Struggling to hide her true feelings from Woods, Della fears she can’t be his rock without dragging him down into the darkness with her. But is she strong enough to let go of the last thing holding her together?

My Review - Twisted Perfection - by Abbi Glines

Synopsis:
Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…

Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.

What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

My Review - Forever Too Far - by Abbi Glines

*Warning: I have already read the books I am covering, any and all posts may and do contain spoilers.

Abbi, Abbi, Abbi, an author I adore and the whole Too Far story is beautiful. Each character has depth and a profound story of their own. Rush is easy to fall in love with and Blaire is the girl every girl wants standing by her side, as a friend. Forever Too Far is a series filled with drama, secrets, love, and friendship. One of my favorites in fact, and one that helped cement my love of the romance community.

Blaire grew into her inner strength and finally got some good in her life. She now has her father back, friends, a home, stability, and most important; Rush and Nathan. I, for one, couldn’t be happier for a character that has survived so much to finally get her happily ever after.

My Review - Never Too Far - by Abbi Glines

*Warning: I have already read the books I am covering, any and all posts may and do contain spoilers.

Never Too Far is another winner for me; I love the whole Rosemary Beach series so far. As I re-read I am falling in love with the story and it’s characters all over again. Rush is heart-poundingly wonderful as always and Blaire continues to grow and be as strong as ever.

My Review - Fallen Too Far - By Abbi Glines

*Warning: I have already read the books I am covering, any and all posts may and do contain spoilers.

This is one of my all time favorite series, I cannot get enough of all the characters at Rosemary Beach. And Rush… well he is the stuff dreams are made of. Fallen Too Far makes the butterflies in my tummy feel like they are on an exhilarating roller coaster ride. Abbi Glines combines innocence with strength and nerves with fearlessness supremely, capturing the perfect mix of lovable characters.

Rush is a tattooed son of a rocker who has been the sole protector of his younger sister since her birth. It’s all he’s ever known until he meets Blaire Wynn.

I could go on forever about Rush; there is a reason people develop Rush crush fever. He’s tall, dark, and sexy. Did I mention the tattoos? His protectiveness is endearing and his confident attitude is definitely a turn on for me. Even when Rush’s confidence wavers you just get to see another desperately appealing side to him. And by the way, I could read Rush talking dirty all day…

My Thoughts: Proclamations of Love

A post I recently did, my review on Stay by Hilary Wynne, inspired me, and gave me an idea for this post. I previously stated that I am a fan of the long moving speech; they grab your attention, make you listen, and change lives of characters in the fictional world. Here is a list of my all time favorite moving speeches, proclamations of love and belief. Some of these are from mediums other than books, which is a little off topic for this blog, but that’s okay, right? These are my favorites in no particular order. I’m selecting my favorites, but I can’t pick my favorite of the favorites and you can’t make me!! It’s too hard. :)

Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens

Kellan to Kiera

“I’m sorry. I was going to be stoic, and say nothing for as long as you wanted me,
but then we made love … and I’ve, I’ve never had that …
and I just can’t o back to being who I was before.
I want you and only you and I can’t bear the thought of sharing you.
I’m sorry.” He looked down sadly.
“I want to walk into Pete’s with you on my arm.
I want to kiss you every time I see you, no matter who’s looking.
I want to make love to you without fear of someone finding out.
I want to fall asleep with you in my arms every night.
I don’t want to feel guilty about something that makes me feel so … whole.
I’m sorry, Kiera, but I’m asking you to choose."
