My Review - Fallen Too Far - By Abbi Glines

*Warning: I have already read the books I am covering, any and all posts may and do contain spoilers.

This is one of my all time favorite series, I cannot get enough of all the characters at Rosemary Beach. And Rush… well he is the stuff dreams are made of. Fallen Too Far makes the butterflies in my tummy feel like they are on an exhilarating roller coaster ride. Abbi Glines combines innocence with strength and nerves with fearlessness supremely, capturing the perfect mix of lovable characters.

Rush is a tattooed son of a rocker who has been the sole protector of his younger sister since her birth. It’s all he’s ever known until he meets Blaire Wynn.

I could go on forever about Rush; there is a reason people develop Rush crush fever. He’s tall, dark, and sexy. Did I mention the tattoos? His protectiveness is endearing and his confident attitude is definitely a turn on for me. Even when Rush’s confidence wavers you just get to see another desperately appealing side to him. And by the way, I could read Rush talking dirty all day…

Excerpt:
All I can think about is being inside you. Having you pressed close to me and hearing you make those sexy-ass little moans

Yes please, since you asked so nicely! Of Course, have your way with me!

Blaire had the happy ideal childhood for a while and then her life crashes down around her with one devastating blow after another. Everything had been turned upside down. Each heart-shattering event that she endears gives her a strength some will never know. Yet these same circumstances created innocence to her since she didn’t get to live life as a typical teenager. She is a special character, a gun-toting girl who has the normal insecurities of a 19-year-old but is so very brave. She takes care of business, stands tall on her own two feet, and speaks her mind about what she and the people she loves deserve.

Fallen Too Far isn't the standard 'boy meets girl, boy and girl fight, and then boy and girl fall in love'. Well it is, but it isn't. That formula is there but with a twist. The book has a little bit of a soap opera type plot line. You're thinking... who is whose sister and who is whose dad? Also Blaire sleeping under the stairs makes me think of Harry under the stairs at the Dursley's and well... I am a Harry Potter Fanatic. The book is full of secrets, friendship, passion, and love.

The friendships in this series are the type of bonds I like to read about; people who have been friends since childhood and would do anything for you. Of course, this also creates a love for each character and has you waiting until you can read their stories next, Grant in particular.  He 110% has Rush's back in every way possible, he's the good guy who looks after Blaire, and he is funny with his teasing and "let's get the popcorn out and see how this turns out" attitude.

Let's look at the opposite side of the strong friendships presented in this book and focus on Nanette, Rush's little sister, for a minute. Life and circumstance has morphed her into pretty much a down right awful human being. A small part of you wants to feel bad for her since she wasn't dealt a great hand in life either but she is just so cruel and spoiled that she makes it very hard and at a certain point no matter what life has tossed at your doorstep you have to grow up. You see the dramatic difference in Blaire and Nan for how each has chosen to deal with their shit and how it has shaped the people they became. Nan definitely has misplaced anger stemming from her jealousy. Abe is the jackass and a complete coward but it's easier to hate Blaire because Nan wants so desperately for Abe to love her.

FTF ends in a cliffhanger. Will Blaire get a happy ending and will Rush and Blaire find love together? Some people hate cliffhangers, but me, I don't mind them. It means we are going to get a whole new book with the characters; and there is a lot more to Rush and Blaire's story to come.

I give this book two thumbs up while jumping up and down like an idiot, 5 stars, a standing ovation, and any other positive recommendation you can think of. If you haven't already read this book and series, well, it is a must read so make it your next purchase. :)
