Phoebe – Chase – New York City.
Chasing the Dream is a
beautiful coming of age novel about a young girl finding her way in the world
and moving on from a douche bag (something we all inevitably find ourselves
doing at one point in our lives) and following her mothers advice to stand on
her own two feet and find herself. The pages are filled with discovery, change,
new experiences and of course steamy sex with a teen-sensation all grown up. A
story to rave about and a must-read!
I always enjoy series that
move on to new characters. It gives you a fresh new story with still getting
small tid-bits of info about the existing characters you love. I think the
Dream series is the first series like this I have read that features the mother
and then her daughter. We see Phoebe learn about her mother and Jack in a way
that no daughter wants to see her mother. We see Elizabeth and Jack through the
eyes of someone who normally would not want to witness her mother with any one
except her father. But the love between the two is so vibrant and intense that
even Phoebe visibly understands the change in her mother and cannot deny she is
viewing a true love to admire that she never saw between her parents.
