Synopsis
The unforgettable story of Grant and Harlow from Take a Chance continues in this brand-new novel in the Rosemary Beach series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

She was it. His oneHis onlyThen he made the mistake of letting her go.

After fighting his way into Harlow Manning’s heart—and revealing a side of himself no one had ever seen before—Grant Carter destroyed his own heart by giving in to his greatest fears and doubts. Months later, he’s stuck in a miserable routine. Work relentlessly. Beg his best friend Rush for news about Harlow. Avoid all other friends. Leave nightly voicemails for Harlow, pleading with her to come back to Rosemary Beach. Fall asleep alone. Repeat.

Miles away, on her brother’s Texas ranch, Harlow can’t bring herself to listen to Grant’s voicemails. Though she wants to be with him, and knows he regrets letting her go, she doesn’t know if she can trust him. When he discovered the truth behind her sheltered upbringing, it shattered their relationship, but the secret she carries now has far greater consequences. Can she risk giving Grant one more chance, or will the gamble ultimately destroy her?

My Star Rating

My Review
More stars for Glines from this blog! Rosemary Beach is one of my favorites and the second installment of Grant and Harlow’s story is certainly no exception, genius work with a crazy flair. One More Chance was a great conclusion for my favorite Rosemary Beach playboy turned one-woman man.

The females aren’t typical and the males are worthy of reading. There are secrets, mystery, and hot guys with steamy sex scenes. Grant and Harlow have both made mistakes and through this novel they beat the odds and clean up the messes they have made to find their way back to each other.

Harlow finds her confidence and transforms from the shy bookworm to the sexy sure of herself woman. “I’m the same Harlow. I’m just secure in the man who loves me. I have nothing to hide from you.” The secrets are all out and Harlow finds strength in living her truth.

There is one part of the book that is unbelievable. Nan shows some redeeming qualities in this book and even has a shining hero moment where she has no ulterior motives and does so humbly. Nan is pretty much the anti-Christ in this series. Is this a set-up for a Nan redemption novel coming in the future? If so I hope you’re up to the challenge Abbi because you have got your work cut out for you with how you have fenced your readers against her. It will take a lot for us to see the light in Nan even with her act of redemption in this book.

Excerpt:
Then there’s your aunt Nan. I don’t even know if you’ll refer to her as Aunt or not. I’m not sure if she’ll be in your life much or at all. I hope she is. I’m surprising myself by saying this, but I do hope you have a relationship with her. I think she has suffered from rejection so many times in her life by people who were supposed to love her unconditionally that she became bitter. It marked her. I want her to find happiness and a way to heal. Maybe we will both see that day happen. I hope we do.

Harlow’s heart may be bigger then mine. We’ll see in what’s to come.

Take it from me, The Chance series and the full Rosemary Beach series is a must read. Rush, Woods, and Grant are redeeming men that give you goose bumps and Blaire, Della, and Harlow are strong woman every reader either wishes was her best friend. The love stories are strong and the friendships are worthy of envy. Chance a read on a book I am sure you will be impressed with.
