Synopsis:
Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…
Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.
What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

Review:
I think I can confidently say the story line of
the Perfection set within the Rosemary Beach series is my favorite. When I
originally found these books Twisted Perfected was the book that introduced me
to Rosemary Beach. The feel of these books within the series is coming of age
young love but Abbi mixes in deep damaging backgrounds of the characters and
she does it so well. She somehow takes dark themes and mixes in light and fun
and it works; it works so damn well. Woods and Della’s story is hauntingly beautiful.
Woods is a take-charge guy from a silver spoon
family walking the line his father has created for him. Della is a girl whose
life couldn’t be more opposite except for you could maybe draw parallels for
the control she lived under her mother to the control Woods father has over
him. But even this is a stretch because Della’s experiences during childhood
are so extreme. Two opposites attract at a gas pump and the story begins its “pump
and go” ride.
Wood’s fear of leaving Della alone rivals Rush’s
obsession with feeding and watching Blaire eat. Both strong men who want to
protect the one’s they love, even to a point of making themselves look a little
crazy.
“Don’t cry. I can’t stand to see you cry. I just
want to make you happy.”
His words wrapped around my heart and I knew in
that moment I had fallen in love with Woods. It might be stupid for me to love
anyone but I did. I loved him. I couldn’t tell him though. He didn’t know
everything about me and telling him I loved him was unfair. But I did. I loved
him so much.
The whole Rosemary Beach gang is in attendance,
even the usually horribly intentioned, words of venom: Nan. We even get a
second antagonist to hate: Angelina. She is to Della, what Nan is to Blaire.
Angelina is a selfish and resentful girl wrapped in a rich blonde Barbie
bombshell package. The only thing missing from Twisted Perfection is MORE
Grant. He is featured in this book, but not nearly enough for my greedy self.
Twisted Perfection is a must read of this genre
and seriously, Della’s story is like no other. Her past makes you hurt and cry
for her, but the possibility of finding her perfection in Woods leaves you
hopeful and frantic to turn the page to see what happens next for the couple.
And trust me, they do have their share of obstacles, both internal and
external. Tears will be shed along with smiles, laughter, and butterflies on
your read of Twisted Perfection.
